General DDL.Rocks community rules

Read the forums rules and posting guidelines before posting for the first time, if you haven't done so yet. It will help you to avoid warnings or even bans.

1.) This is an ENGLISH ONLY forum. For non English content you will receive a warning. Only for language packs the description can be in the language from the uploaded pack. We have a friendly and respectful tone. Aggressive, abusive, violent, radical, racist, discriminatory and otherwise offensive comments are not tolerated. They are strictly prohibited in threads and profile posts as well as avatars and signatures.
Every user has to follow the forum rules.
Be civil. Personal differences should be handled through email or PM and not through posts displayed to everyone.
If you have an unsolvable problem with another user, you can (in exceptional cases) contact a Global Moderator or Administrator who will try to help to the best of their ability.
Generally you should be able to clear your differences and disputes alone. Registration itself does not have any legal consequences, since there are also normal talk areas.

2.) Accounts, usernames & avatars:
Every user is allowed to have only one account. If you do have multiple accounts for any reason, all your credits will be deleted and accounts will be banned. User names and avatars must be chosen in a way they can't be understood in any way to be offensive / racist, leave the impression of being a staff member (admin, mod, staff etc.) or violate other good manners. If you do so you will become a new "nice" name from us or get banned.
User names referring to domains are not allowed.
Any violation of the forum rules will have consequences!

3.) Do not send a PM to Staff Members if you have problem with any contents on this forum, please create a thread in the Helpdesk section. Someone will help you solve it.

3.1) Contents posted on the forums may not be supported by the uploader as a lot of the content is leeched from other sources and some uploaders offer a variety of content and may not be familiar with the shares they make. Support will be given in the support forums, not in Shoutbox, not in other forums and not as PM.

3.2) People who post a support topic in the Shoutbox will receive a warning.

4.) Only send a PM to an Administrator if you have issue with your account. People who PM a STAFF member with their support topic or a support question will receive a warning.

5.) With Purchasable Resources, we don't give refunds. All sales are final, so review it carefully before purchasing it. All contents in this section are working normally because they are tested before being uploaded.

6.) When you upgrade to VIP, VIP+, Super VIP & Master VIP if you want to downgrade to member, please send a PM to an Administrator and we will downgrade without refund.

7.) Post count to Download:
You must have 5 "INDIVIDUAL" posts and 2 post likes to see download links (Duplicate threads or posts will be deleted, combined or locked. Any posts in violation with the forum rules will be deleted). The deletion of posts might result in a decrease of your post count.
Posts in General discussion, Request areas and Profiles do NOT increase your post count since this areas got abused with excessive posts for no other reason than to increase ones post count!

7.1) Postings:
Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.
No Cross-Posting! Cross-Posting is when you post the same message multiple time in various threads or forums. Continuing to post a similar message will result a ban.
Make sure your contribution makes sense and fits to the topic (explain your opinion).
Spontaneous emotional outbursts often seem confusing. Because of that, think first, then write, read it again and then respond. Any kind of spam is prohibited.
Use plain text over HTML if you want your post to be readable by everyone.
Please use the quote function meaningful. Quote only the parts to which your contribution relates (no full quotes of long texts).
Members are encouraged to point out rule violations to others, however "Wannabe moderation" is not wanted.
Thx or thank you posts are prohibited in all content sections. You may use them in Help or General sections in a moderate way. However, the use of the 'Like' or 'Best Answer' button instead is strongly encouraged.

If you really want to thank somebody, use the like button. It rewards the person you like to thank (and you as well) with additional forum credits.
Links containing Ref-IDs (clickgames etc.) are not wanted and subject to removal of the posts.
Absolutely no advertising will be allowed on this forum. Do not use the forums to promote your commercial product, service or business. Do not use the forums for personal financial benefit. It will not be tolerated.

Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count (means posts like "Thanks" or something similar). This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion.

Examples are (but are not limited to):
  • Among spam too short, repetitive, unfounded (meaningless) and off topic/ question to the most suitable answers.
  • Repetitions of already existing answers, unnecessary thanks, empty phrases without justification/ proof review announcements and general "Bullshit".
  • The copying of other posts in full or partial without any additional content
  • Thx / thank you - use the 'Like' button instead
  • That's what I've been looking for - that's great but highly irrelevant for the topic
  • 'Update' or 'Upload new version' - place your request in the relevant Request section instead
  • Works fine - that's initially expected and therefore irrelevant. If a downloaded file on the other hand is not 'working' you are encouraged to post it, preferably with a short explanation of the issue encountered.

  • Or small talk that doesn't fit to the topic / off-topic comments
7.2) Postings in threads and profiles:
We reserve the right to delete, move or edit any content that does not conform to the rules at any time. This can be done without prior notice to the author.
The forum language is ENGLISH. Correct spelling and punctuation is desired. Continuous lowercase is allowed, the excessive use of dialects should be avoided. Consideration is always given to the fact that English is not the first language of all members.

  • Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion.
  • Do not use someone else s thread for a private conversation.
  • Do not use all caps or SHOUT in your posts. In addition, one exclamation point is enough.
  • Watch your sense of humor, posts may be read by people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.
  • Do not post empty or useless responses, such as just lol, thanx or cool. Only post responses when you have something to contribute.
7.3) Topics and postings:
Sometimes it's better to open a new topic, than refreshing a very old one.
Threads or posts, which are only used to raise your post count are not wanted and will be removed (except in the talk sections, which are NOT counted for your post number).
Topics and posts can only be edited for 30 minutes before they are locked, so better look twice that everything is alright.

7.4) Topics (threads):
Search other threads / posts to see if your topic is already covered.
Create your topic in the matching forum. Avoid creating several threads for the same topic in different sections.
Choose a descriptive and meaningful title. Don't use ASCII characters and renounce the excessive use of punctuation.
Describe your request as accurately as possible. See also the instructions that are 'stickied' in some areas for additional rules.
Topic bumping (or pushing) is only allowed every 24 hours. The pushing of other users topics is prohibited.
Avoid pushing topics which are older than 4 weeks (or 1 week in the news section) with unnecessary comments.

Posting Guide:
Please follow the posting guidelines to avoid the deletion / rejection of your posts!

7.5) Virus Scan and link:
Do not include viruses, malware, spyware or shell on scripts on content you share. Also check on before uploading files and attach the link with the results as example picture below shows. Shit happens sometimes, we will not 'rip your head off' the first time. However, if your uploaded content has continuously issues it may even lead to your account being deleted.

7.6) uploading files:
If you are uploading files to a thread ONLY the .rar or .zip format are accepted.
Promoting other forums or websites is NOT allowed in the forum and or resources section including scripts that require you to signup and / or activate a license to use on another website and / or forum.
Threads can not contain a referral link or will be instantly deleted (a warning will be given to the offending user as well). This applies for monetization links and / or URL shorteners as well, except for .

8.) Resources:
All resources are reviewed by a team member before publication.
Links have to be added to the matching category.

8.1) ANY XenForo, VB, Magneto & other files can be uploaded on Resource pages in the correct categories.

9.) Infringements:

The warnings are issued by the Moderators and Administrators.
Should a user feel unfairly treated, they can discuss this with the next highest point (Global Moderator or Administrator).
The team reserves the right to punish based on individual cases and things that may not be listed in the rules.
Users which permanently stir up trouble, provoke or undermine the authority of the team are banned directly.
Any use of offensive / abusive language may result in a direct ban without prior warnings.
Do not promote your commercial product, service or business outside the Marketplace area to avoid warnings and / or bans.

11.) DDL.Rocks Team:
We respectfully ask that you always follow the instructions of the team.
Decisions made by the team / individual staff members are non-negotiable.
Each team member has the right to close / delete topics or replies that violate the rules or disturb the general peace of the community. In case you feel unfairly treated you may complain to another Global Moderator or Administrator and your complaint will be team reviewed.

12.) Flooding chat room with text is forbidden and might result into warnings and / or bans.

12.1) Requests are only to be made in the Request Area, Any requests made in other areas including but not limited to, Helpdesk, General Discussion or Chat will be removed and can result in a warning if persistent.

13.) Act in a give and take manner; help others as often as or more than you ask for help. Any attempts to use DDL.Rocks as platform for personal gain (selling of serial keys, activation licenses, software, the use of PPC link shorteners, monetization links of any form) will result in severe penalties and permanent bans at the discretion of the staff members.
We are a sharing community, if you intend to create a online business you have to do that on your own.
